Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy in a Pressurized Chamber
What is hyperbaric oxygen therapy?
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is an innovative therapeutic approach designed to enhance the delivery of pure oxygen to the body’s tissues.
The Hyper Cube allows patients to breathe in pure concentrations of oxygen at an increased level of atmospheric pressure. This facilitates oxygenation of the blood, helping to speed healing and improve overall health.
Why use HBOT?
Oxygen is essential for the proper function of every cell in the body. Oxygen plays a critical role in cell metabolism, especially energy production by means of ATP, and is vital for nearly all wound-healing processes. Tissue oxygen levels play a fundamental role in the regulation of cellular proliferation and differentiation, particularly immune cell function.
HBOT has been clinically proven to enhance physical performance due to significant improvements in mitochondrial respiration and increased mitochondrial mass. It is used to speed repair of damaged tissues and assist in restoring healthy bodily function.
How does hyperbaric oxygen therapy work?
Hyperbaric therapy is simple, relaxing, and painless. The patient enters a hyperbaric chamber (the Hyper Cube) and breathes in pure, concentrated oxygen at increased pressure levels. Air pressure levels within the Hyper Cube are about three times higher than normal air pressure, permitting highly efficient delivery of oxygen to the body’s cells.
Increased levels enhance the oxygenation of all of the body’s fluids, including blood plasma, the central nervous system fluids, and the lymph.
This can stimulate production of white blood cells (WBCs), particularly in areas of reduced or blocked circulation. White blood cells play a crucial role in countering harmful bacteria, reducing inflammation, and promoting tissue repair and regeneration.
Studies have shown that hyperbaric oxygen therapy can assist with the healing of infections, particularly in oxygen-deprived tissues. It is effective in treating diabetic lower extremity wounds and delayed radiation injuries.
The elevation in hydrostatic pressure to the human body is shown to have a direct impact on treating pathological conditions in which gas bubbles are present, such as arterial gas embolism and decompression sickness.
HBO2 may also treat ischemia-reperfusion injury in the central nervous system due to carbon monoxide poisoning. It has been used to effectively treat gangrene and slow-healing wounds.
How to experience the Hyper Cube
Alive Innovations is proud to offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy with one of the newest hyperbaric chambers on the market, the Hyper Cube.
The Hyper Cube is a low-pressure ambient air pressure system that offers a greater degree of safety than previous high-pressure oxygen chambers. The spacious, comfortable chamber is fitted with oxygen concentrators which allow the client to breathe in 95% pure oxygen as they relax within. This innovative pressure system delivers oxygen-rich air to the body’s tissues even more efficiently than oxygen-saturated air.
The Hyper Cube features 2-way wireless audio communication for optimal safety. There is also the option of an acoustic light wave for radio frequency therapy, as well as a color therapy mode with special chamber lighting that the client can select for their comfort.
